March is Brain Injury Awareness Month: At The Capitol

On Thursday, 3/10/11, BIAF staff and 3 mothers (advocates) met one-on-one with 7 key legislators to tell their story about how BIAF is essential and how our services helped them.  Then, on Friday, 3/11/11, the same BIAF staff and advocates testified before the Health & Human Services Health Care Appropriations Committee on the need for BIAF services and the future of the Association.

The photos below were from those 2 days.  Linda, Cynthia and Lester were the mothers.  Along with BIAF staff, Valerie and Wendy, and our lobbyist from Capitol Hill Group, Lindy Kennedy.
